24-11-2025 Coffee afternoon at Ponders End Youth and Family Hub

This drop-in coffee afternoon session will be from 12.30 - 2 pm on Monday 24th November.

This is one of our regular drop-in sessions, which take place in the Clement Medford Room (1st Floor) at the Ponders End Youth and Family Hub, 129, South Street, Enfield, EN3 4PX. See our Autumn Coffee Afternoons flyer for more information.

At this session, we will be joined by representatives of the Disability Advice Network in Enfield (DANE). This is a new service in Enfield which supports carers as well as residents aged 18+ with disabilities.

Enfield Citizens Advice Has Launched New 9-Year Disability and Vulnerability Support Network with Age UK Enfield, Edmonton Community Partnership and Wellbeing Connect Services.
Enfield Citizens Advice has secured a 9-year contract from the London Borough of Enfield to lead a new support service for residents with disabilities, long-term health conditions and vulnerabilities.
The programme — Supporting Independence through Information & Advice, Digital Inclusion and Assistive Technology — will be delivered by the newly formed Disability Advice Network Enfield (DANE), a partnership with:
  • Age UK Enfield
  • Edmonton Community Partnership
  • Wellbeing Connect Services
DANE will offer:
  • Expert advice on rights and support services
  • Assistance with form filling, i.e. Universal Credit, PIP, Council forms
  • Digital Inclusion workshops
  • Help with digital skills and confidence
  • Access to life-enhancing assistive technologies
  • Mental health and wellbeing support
  • Local sessions in schools, community hubs, and online
Together, our organisations help over 35,000 Enfield residents every year — and we’re committed to reaching people earlier, offering practical tools to live more independently, and building a stronger, more inclusive Enfield.
Nnenna Anyanwu , Chief Executive, Enfield Citizens Advice
“DANE represents a step change in how we support people with disabilities in Enfield — bringing together deep community expertise to offer practical, preventative, and empowering services.”

Members of the Our Voice team will also be on hand to listen to your questions and issues and point you in the right direction to resolve the issues you are facing. Or you can just take the opportunity to offload a bit and have a chat with other parents who experience some of the same challenges as you, over a cup of tea or coffee.

Practical information:

The hub is located at 129, South Street, Enfield, EN3 4 PX.

Some people have reported problems with getting to the hub using SatNav. It is best to look out for the Oasis Academy School which is opposite the hub. You may find that once parked you are by the side entrance of the hub – you will probably need to go to the South Street entrance to get admittance to the building – please walk around the building until you get to the front.

These events are aimed at parents and carers rather than children. If you do need to bring children with you, please note that you will be responsible for supervising your children throughout the session – we do not provide childcare or activities for children during these sessions.
