o Page 1: Our coffee mornings give parents an opportunity to talk to members of the Our Voice team, and other parent carers, and to hear from relevant guest speakers, in an informal and supportive environment. Our next coffee morning at the Ponders End Family Hub will be tomorrow, Wednesday 6th November and will be an informal cuppa and chat session – more information here.
o Page 1 – Save the date for our Christmas party on Sunday 1st December 2.30 -4.30 pm – details to follow soon (all places must be pre-booked)
o Page 2 – information about changes to benefits following last week’s budget – more information here.
o Page 2 – ‘Rising to Reception’ support for parents of children with communication difficulties starting primary school next September. First sessions on 8th Nov – Enfield Admissions Team with tips on applying for a reception place and 15th November Our Voice will share their strategies for supporting your child with the transition to school. o Page 3 – Play and Leisure – relaxed sessions at the Science Museum 23rd Nov and 8th Jan.
o Page 3 – Coffee morning in Cockfosters this Friday 9.30 – 11 am – see update for details.
o Page 4 – Independent travel training for young adults and adults, with learning disabilities to become confident using public transport. More information here.
o Page 4 – Open evening for the Pre-internship and Supported Internship programme on 27th Nov. An opportunity to find out about this scheme to support young people aged 16-24, with an EHCP who want to find employment but need help to get started. More information here.

· Our ‘Emotional Wellbeing and your Child’ event on Tuesday 19th November with the Educational Psychology Service (EPS) and the My Young Minds Enfield team (an early intervention service which is part of CAMHS). See our events page here, (including the flyer) and book your place here.
· ‘Choosing a Primary School’ online workshops on Tuesday 26th Nov (afternoon) or Wednesday 27th Nov (morning) to talk about the process (whether or not your child has an EHCP) and what to think about when making your decision. More information on our events page here.
· Our last Coffee Morning at the Ponders End Family Hub for 2024 will be a short breaks update and Q&A with Miri Dhamo, Head of the Joint Service for Disabled Children, on Wednesday 4th December – more information here.
· Wills and Trusts Online workshops with Estate Planning Solutions, looking at how best to protect your vulnerable dependants in the long term will take place on 13th November (evening session 7.30 to 9 pm) see here and 26th November (morning session 10 -11.30 am see here.
· Positive Behaviour Support – our next drop in behaviour support session held jointly with Cheviots Children’s Centre, will take place this Friday 8th November – see our events page here. This is an opportunity for you to discuss specific questions and concerns relating to your child’s behaviour.
