03-07-2026 Supporting Wellbeing of Parent Carers

Our event 'Supporting the Wellbeing of Parent Carers of Children and Young People with SEND' will be on Friday 3rd July from 10 am to 2 pm (registration from 9.30 am) at the Civic Centre, Enfield Town.

This event will focus on the critical topic of the Mental Health of parent carers of children and young people with SEND, looking at the challenges we face, and exploring sources of support and what ‘better’ parent carer wellbeing would look like.

We will bring together Parent Carers with professional services/representatives to create a space to discuss the too-often hidden, but incredibly 'lived' topic of suicide loss and risk amongst our SEND Parent Carer Community.
Across a mix of sharing, presentations, discussions and a 'support marketplace' (featuring representatives of a wide range of support services), we hope to start a rhythm of focus and subsequent support around this topic, which is deeply needed.
